Toilets along the West Highland Way

The West Highland Way is a 96-mile (154 km) long-distance trail through some of Scotland's most remote scenery. Long stretches between villages can make finding a toilet a real challenge — especially for walkers managing IBS, Crohn's, IBD, pregnancy, prostate or bladder conditions, or anyone who needs frequent or urgent access.

This map combines two sources to give the most complete picture we can: toilet, cafe, pub and lodging locations reported through Google Places, and dedicated public-toilet entries from the community-maintained Toilet Map. Tap Use my location to see the five nearest stops, or browse the map directly.

Please note: many of the stops shown are private businesses (cafes, pubs, hotels, campsites) and they reserve the right to refuse entry to non-customers. In practice the trail brings significant seasonal tourism and many owners are sympathetic to walkers in genuine need — a polite ask, and where possible a small purchase, goes a long way. Opening hours and seasonal closures vary; always have a backup plan in remote sections.
